This section lists prices of consumer goods. We consider consumer goods to be any finished product. The main source for consumer goods prices for Iraq is Eliyahu Ashtor’s Histoire des prix et des salaires dans l’Orient medieval, (Paris, S.E.V.P.E.N, 1968), with additional sources and additional regions covered. Iraq has a less comprehensive chronological coverage.
